Fees will be charged to your MyCBE account beginning in October. School fees are due when assigned.
Annual system fees are set each year when the operating budget is passed by the Board of Trustees. To keep fees as low as possible, the CBE is committed to being as efficient as possible in the provision of services. The costs of providing the services include direct labour and supplies, as well as the cost of fee waivers and uncollectible accounts.
It is important to know that we have a waiver process for families who cannot afford to pay the fees.
For the 2025-2026 school year, a student supplies fee will apply to all students in Kindergarten through Grade 6. The fee offsets the cost of purchasing supplies like pens, pencils, and erasers so that students have the tools to learn from their first day in class.
Student supplies fees will be assigned mid-October 2025.

Fees at Tom Baines School
Parents & Guardians can access their student's school fees, register for lunch supervision (grade 6) and apply for fee waivers through their MyCBE Accounts. This system allows you to pay fees and view or print receipts and statements for all of your students in one, central location. If you do not already have an account please go to MyCBE and create one.
Please check the MyCBE account regularly as field trip fees will appear once a field trip letter and permission form has gone home to parents and guardians. For Grades 7-9 students, complimentary course fees for semester 1 and semester 2 have been assigned. If you see a fee on your powerschool account for an option class that your child is not enrolled in, please contact Mrs. Ruether via email at lrruether@cbe.ab.ca. For parents of Grade 6 students, when you are registering for noon supervision, Tom Baines has a 4 day program.
