Hello Tom Baines Families,

We hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weather and is looking forward to a long weekend next week. Great teaching and learning continue to happen every day at Tom Baines and we are truly grateful for your support. Please see important information below.

Important Dates:

February 10 – Grade 9 Vaccines

February 12-13 – Teachers’ Convention – no school for students

February 16 – Family Day – no school for students

February 23 – School Council @ 7:00 pm in the Learning Commons

February 24 – Report Cards go live (no paper copies available)

February 25 – Pink Shirt Day

February 27 – Professional Learning Day – no school for students

Athletics – our volleyball season is underway and our teams are doing great. Thank you so much to our coaches who dedicate their time to coaching our students. Go Boas!

School Council – our next meeting is Monday, February 23. This is the annual meeting where administrators will be outlining our School Development Plan goals and our yearly budget. We invite all parents to attend.

Report Cards – teachers are busy working on completing report cards. These will be available online on February 24. You are encouraged to take time that day to sit you’re your child and review the report card together. Contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions. Conferences to discuss the report card will be on March 19-20.

Schools no longer provide paper copies. If you require a paper copy, please print one off.
