Hello Tom Baines Families,

Thank you to all of our families who came to support our Winter Band Concert last Monday. It was a great success and we appreciate all of the hard work our students and Mr. Lewis put into practicing, rehearsing and performing.

It has been a great few weeks with more exciting weeks to come. Please read below for important information.

January 30 – Professional Learning Day – No school for students

February 10 – Grade 9 Vaccines

February 12 – 13 – No School for Teachers Convention

February 16 – No School – Family Day

Athletics – Volleyball is in full-swing. Thank you to all of our students who tried out and to our coaches for giving their time to mentor and coach our kids. We are excited for games to begin. Go Boas!

School Council – our next meeting is on Monday, January 26 at 7:00 pm in the Learning Commons. All are invited and encouraged to attend.

Transportation – We have received some complaints about the school busses being overcrowded. The school express busses are provided as an additional service.  If the bus is full, students are expected to take regular transportation community routes.  We are unable to advocate to add another bus, this is reviewed by Calgary Transit, we work alongside them but do not direct their work and they review routes and school express supports within their resources available.

Thank you all for your continued support. We are so grateful to be a part of this amazing community.
