Grade 6 Handbell Residency

As part of our Tom Baines music program, Ms. Lin has invited handbell expert Lori Teneycke to lead grade 6 students in a two-week handbell residency from May 4th-14th.  Ms. Teneycke began playing handbells since 1975, and, in addition to being an expert on the handbells, has years of experience as a teacher, administrator, and Fine Arts consultant.  

Students will be learning to play both handbells and chimes.  At the end of the residency, on Thursday, May 14, students will get to perform in an evening concert, next door to Tom Baines School at Westminster Church, from 6:30-7 pm.  The church has graciously offered their venue for us to perform free of charge.
